Please Note: Due to the passing of Pope Francis, the Sistine Chapel will be closed from April 28 until the end of the conclave. Tours will run as scheduled but will not include the Sistine Chapel during this period. Access to St. Peter's Basilica may also be interrupted.

This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Excellent

EcoArt was a great travel group experience I really liked our tour guide Rosaetta Rosa for short She explained everything very well and she was easy to understand Theres a lot to take in and many photo opportunities along the way

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. memorable small group tour of the vatican

I highly recommend the small group tour in English Our guide was very knowledgable about the Vaticans art and history It would have been overwhelming on our own as there is so much to see There were 5 from my family plus 5 others in the group Furthermore someone in the group had a medical emergency Our guide was professional in handling the situation the Vatican security not so helpful and continuing to provide a memorable tour for the rest of us I apologize for not remembering our guides name

Experienced guide

We had a wonderful experience with our guide Catalina Her knowledge and passion for this international landmark was outstanding She answered questions clearly and gave us time to appreciate the wonders of the site It was a pacy tour but this was something we expected Tours can seem pricey when you look at them vs the entry cost however we felt this one was worth every penny

Vatican Museums guided Tour with Martina

Informative and fun tour of the Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel Our guide Martina communicated well and had a great sense of humour Her knowledge and self interest in the history of the Vatican showed through her enthusiastic approach of imparting her knowledge Loved her use of visual aids at the start to explain what we would see Very clever and it worked very well to be able to gain insight of what you will see at the end of this tour in the Sistine chapel
