Highly recommended Best tour guide ever

Yesterday 312024 we the two tourists from London had a wonderful tour with our excellent professional and very knowledgeable tour guide Marcello It has been a long while since we last had such a great tour guide like Marcello Everything about Marcello is excellent He deserves a token of our appreciation We then found some extra Euros from our other pocket and we wanted to pass him more but with regret we tried to find Marcello immediately where we last left the group but we could not find him anymore So Marcello if we ever bump into you again in Rome we hope we can pass on the second portion of our tips to you as you really deserve all this Wishing you all the best Marcello

Definitely worth it and insightful

Caterina was incredibly friendly and passionate Shared a lot of facts and history about the art and different locations Had an amazing time and definitely appreciated the insight through a historically rich place Skipping the massive line was a bonus but Caterina as a guide was the highlight

Cattle call

Laura was a fantastic guide She could only do so much to deal with the hoards of people pushing and shoving for most of the duration If you have any issues with crowded enclosed places consider another outing There are fabulous museums in Rome where you can actually appreciate the art and architecture One can stop to take in a room appreciating the talent and majesty of the creations The 25000 souls who pass through the Vatican on a given day represent a potential crisis should there be an emergency situation Little thought is given by the Vatican to the safety and comfort of visitors It feels more like being cattle herded from room to room It does not comport with my relationship to my religion Welcoming strangers is part of a religious community Seeing to their wellbeing would have been typical

New queuing rules 2024

Our guide was very experienced and knowledgeable The tour lasted a little less than expected We only spent 10 minutes inside the Sistine Chapel New check in rules provoked strong delays and threw us in peak time tourists groups We were given a partial refund after our complain All and all cannot miss this tour
