Skip the queue and guides are a must have

The Vatican is beautiful and very busy It is paramount that you book the Skip The Queue My partner and I walked the entire city before finding our tour and the line for Vatican spanned the entire length of the city I would also suggest getting a guide there isnt an awful amount of information displayed on plaques so its easier to be guided by someone who was knowledgeable We were provided with headsets The Vatican is very busy so it was extremely valuable to have these so we could hear our guide at all times 2 main tips The Vatican is a holy place its importable to read up on the dress code and respect the holy areas When we went into the Sistine Chapel it was very loud with other tourists which took away from the experience The Vatican Museums are fine to speak openly The Vatican museums Sistine Chapel and the Bascillica do not have air conditioning take this into consideration when youre choosing to what time of year you go We went early July and the heat was hard to stand The guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and they will make you appreciate everything a lot more
