In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Skip the line to Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel and Basilica

Ilaria was our tour guide for our Skip the Line Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel tour with our guide taking us to St Peters Square and our free access to the Basilica without needing to wait in a queue here either We were in a small group of maximum 10 and had headphones to hear everything being said even when surrounded by other people Of course it was very busy but we were given a tour that still felt just for us Ilaria had so much knowledge of History and Art making everything of interest Because there is meant to be silence in the Sistine Chapel Ilaria explained the painting of the ceiling and walls at the beginning of the visit so we understand everything before entering We recommend the first entry to the Vatican at 8am and really the only wait was for security on entry but that wasnt a problem This is a must visit tour when in Rome We booked with Viator and were met by the Ecoart team on the steps opposite the Vatican Dont forget you must have knees and shoulders covered

Laura was the best tour guide I have ever had Her profession as an art historian was so valuable for this tour she made history come to life and is very engaging The pace of this tour was perfect if I had more time in Rome I would absolutely do this tour again

Do not look anywhere else for a tour OSCAR IS YOUR GUY He was terrific with seamless knowledge patience has a great sense of humor and his recommendations are amazing This was our first time in Rome so of course we visited the Vatican We couldnt have had a better experience in our tour than with Oscar If we can give him 10 stars we totally would Thank you Oscar for being so great
