In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Worth It for the Experience but Be Ready for a Fast Pace

I highly recommend buying your ticket online in advance otherwise you may end up waiting in line for quite a while If you are considering a guided tour we had Martina who is very knowledgeable and genuinely funny I really appreciated that she didnt just focus on sharing information but also brought a sense of lightness to the whole experience She is very attentive to everyone and makes sure no one falls behind The Vatican Museums are huge There is so much to see that you could easily spend hours there If you prefer to explore at your own pace without feeling pressured to keep up with a group then a guided tour might not be the best option However I really enjoyed hearing the history and seeing everything come to life in front of me That said it is impossible to take everything in especially since guided tours run on a schedule and are timesensitive

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

The Vatican Experience

The tour was highly informative and our guide moved us through the very busy crowds pretty well She spoke with an Italian accent in English but I was able to understand her Her knowledge of the Vatican its museums were impeccable It can be a bit overwhelming but even if you retain 10 if it youll take away something you didnt have before you saw it

This was an excellent tour The guide Ricardo was outstandingknowledgeable and passionate about the history of Vatican art and history The Sistine Chapel was memorable At the end of the tour we were given direct access into the basilica The tour was well organized and a must to see the highlights of the Vatican museums

Informative and fun Martina had a great balance of sense of humor and fun Getting a no wait ticket is the way to go

Martina was a wonderful guide She had a nice balance of humor and knowledge and was engaging everyone she had great visuals that she shared The no wait tours are the best option
