In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Worth It for the Experience but Be Ready for a Fast Pace

I highly recommend buying your ticket online in advance otherwise you may end up waiting in line for quite a while If you are considering a guided tour we had Martina who is very knowledgeable and genuinely funny I really appreciated that she didnt just focus on sharing information but also brought a sense of lightness to the whole experience She is very attentive to everyone and makes sure no one falls behind The Vatican Museums are huge There is so much to see that you could easily spend hours there If you prefer to explore at your own pace without feeling pressured to keep up with a group then a guided tour might not be the best option However I really enjoyed hearing the history and seeing everything come to life in front of me That said it is impossible to take everything in especially since guided tours run on a schedule and are timesensitive

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Daily except Sunday

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Excellent access for fast tour

Access was excellent But we could not hear the guide with the crowd around us This visit was also very quick We checked the 3 or 4 venues off our bucket list but there was not a lot of time spent in The Vatican or Sistine chapel Not the tours fault just awareness when booking Everything moves fast due to crowds and heat

Wonderful and knowledgeable and didnt linger in a very crowded June Vatican and St Peters She was quick and moved us through the massive crowds well and very informative

Incredible

The Vatican and everything around it truly is beautiful Our guide Oxana was fantastic and truly knew so much and was able to illuminate a lot of things The only negative was that I felt like we ran through the museumpart of that was the time of day we started part of that was the huge crowdsbut we barely even got the highlights in my opinion If you want an incredible 10000 foot view then this is it and Oxana is your girl But if you want to spend more time looking at all the incredible art and artifacts and truly take your time soaking it all in find a longer tour or figure out how to do it on your own

Enjoyed the educational visits of the Vatican Museums

I really enjoyed this tour with Alberto He was very knowledgeable of the art and history of the Vatican Very patient with questions and always ready to provide more information Very polite as well I recommend this tour
