In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

Very pleasant and decent staff

Very pleasant and decent staff Attitude was good And as a present we got awesome app to navigate across the Rome Our tour in Vatican was not guided just skip the line entrance Guide mentioned passage from Vatican directly to St Peters but without further explanations After the visit of Vatican we could not find it asked the Vatican staff where to go to basilica they were just using hands to show the direction And unfortunately we went out It took us one hour of waiting in line for StPeter basilica security check to get inside

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.


When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Well worth Booking !

We were on a 4 day city break to Rome so didn't want to waste any time. As son as we got out of our taxi we were met and taken in to Vatican and introduced to our guide Simonetta. It was very busy with loads of tours , but there was only 6 people in ours and she was very knowledgeable and proficient steering us through the bottle-necks but ensuring we didn't miss anything, 3 hours passed in a flash.

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel

If your taking a tour of the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel I would recommend this tour as the queue if you don't book a skip the line tour can be enormous. The directions for meeting the guide were clear and he was there at the appointed time. He also provided useful information as he escorts you through security to pick up tickets. At this point you are free to explore the Museums as your own pace. I would recommend hiring an audio guide.

Excellent Tour of the Vatican

My wife and I had an excellent comfortably guided tour of the Vatican. Special mention of our guide, Ciara, who ensured we had fun doing the 3 hour tour

Unique †Vatican‡ Experience!

Fantastic Vatican group tour and service! Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. It was a unique experience, all the people of my group were so fascinated about the historical info the guide was giving. She also told us anecdotes about the Vatican and its mysteries. By far the best tour I have ever had.
