In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Wonderful experience

Our tour guide was Ilaria and she briefed us on what to do and what to expect before we started She was very thorough Our skiptheline tickets saved time and Ilaria guided us through various rooms She related stories and history in important places and gave us time to take photos The listening devices do not have a big range so sometimes if you are left behind you lose the audio Ilaria explained the meanings of the paintings You have to see the works to appreciate the skill and patience of the artists Some staircases were quite narrow and it was easy to get separated from the group in the crowds There are plenty of souvenir shops near the end of the tour Overall it was a wonderful exciting experience Thank you Ilaria

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.

Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Ciao is a very good Guide

Ciao was our tour guide on the 20th March As we were very interested in the seeing the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel She explained everything very well and made it more interesting than it already was I would highly reccommend het as a tour guide

Vatican Museum Guided Tour

We had Loreley as our guide for the Vatican museum tour She was very knowledgeable and made the tour so interesting with her descriptions Loreleys English was very good always paused for questions and to check in to make sure we were all ok as it was very warm and lasted 25 hours Organisation was great from booking and initial meeting Totally recommend

Ive never been disappointed on a Viator tour and I have taken many tours with Viator in many different countries Lets start with our guide MartinaAMAZING knowledgeable funny and I feel like we hit the jackpot with her as our guide Dont hesitate to book this tour because if you wait to buy your tickets when you arrive at the Vatican you can be in line for hours Our group consisted of 8 ppl which for me was less stressful than being in a large group
