In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries,;Gallery of the Maps, Raphael Rooms, and the Sistine Chapel.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Memorable Tour Worth it

We were a family of 4 Skip the line is super helpful or else you will be in general line that wraps around the building and can take hours Our guide Sarah was an archeology major who gave us details on all important aspects Highly recommend or else you will miss to understand the history behind what you are seeing I would highly recommend this tour operator

Great tour well worth it

Alberto was our guide for the Vatican and Sistine Chapel tour He was very knowledgeable really interesting and made the whole experience enjoyable The Vatican is a busy place many group tours queuing security to go through etc but Alberto explained each step to our group and made sure we all kept together You walk a long way wear comfy shoes and bring a water bottle Also cover shoulders and knees I recommend the tour but the Vatican is busy many people and not for people who cant walk far Worth getting the St Peters entry too On the whole amazing things to see and many beautiful sculptures paintings frescoes etc Sistine Chapel beautiful I last went round the Vatican etc about 25 years ago and although you see many amazing things and the beautiful gardens it was quite overwhelming with all the tourists Very different from the past but something I think everyone should do at least once Remember to take some cash to tip your guide as they do a great job and definitely deserve something for contending with the crowds everyday

Such a lovely time Laura was the best guide D

It was an amazing tour Our guide Laura was amazing and so funny and welcoming such a lovely time we had there was around 1520 people in our group but Laura made sure we were all attentive and included especially the kids she really looked after them it was so sweet the crowd wasnt too bad we went at around 1pm and it was easy to find everyone the tickets were well worth the money and it was just an amazing tour all round

We thoroughly enjoyed our skip the line with small group tour with our Tour Guide She was professional well educated on all things included on this tour She provided enough time in each area to appreciate the surroundings Even though its was a hot day she did her best to get us out of the sun Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a small group tour
