This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Three Cheers for Fabio

Our day began with very easy to understand directions on where to meet prior to entering the grounds Plenty of time made for all the photo opportunities as well as a restroom break prior to beginning the maze of the grounds Water was also available for sale 150 but no fountains for refilling found Our tour guide Fabio was INCREDIBLE He did a stellar job at maintaining the group together while educating on the marvels around us His passion for the tour made it a memorable one and I cannot recommend this tour enough Affordable educational and most of all lots of fun Thank you for the great memories

Exceptional tour of the Vatican

Giuseppe did a fantastic job on this tour He went at a good pace not too slow not too fast and was a wealth of information It was well worth it to avoidskip the long lines as well The amount of art and history was overwhelming but Giuseppe did an excellent job highlighting important pieces and had lots of interesting facts to share Id highly recommend this tour

Christina was the best tour guide ever

Christina was the best tour guide ever She is friendly and very knowledgeable of the history of the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums She spoke of the highlights and made it very interesting I would recommend this tour We even got to go to the St Peters Basilica and enjoyed in Mass

Super charged my sightseeing

The guide was very knowledgeable and guided us through some of the most notable artistic works in the vatican museum The ability to skip the queue meant that we didnt have to wait in a line that is often over 3 hours long It meant that I had a lot more time to explore some of the other historical sites of the city
