In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Wonderful experience

Our tour guide was Ilaria and she briefed us on what to do and what to expect before we started She was very thorough Our skiptheline tickets saved time and Ilaria guided us through various rooms She related stories and history in important places and gave us time to take photos The listening devices do not have a big range so sometimes if you are left behind you lose the audio Ilaria explained the meanings of the paintings You have to see the works to appreciate the skill and patience of the artists Some staircases were quite narrow and it was easy to get separated from the group in the crowds There are plenty of souvenir shops near the end of the tour Overall it was a wonderful exciting experience Thank you Ilaria

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Ariana our guide was amazing. The tour group was small which was good and she explained everything so well that it made the visit even more impressive

unforgettable tour

We enjoyed the tour very much , and all this because We were lucky to have a very knowledgeable and professional guide Stefano ! With his detailed explanation and great sense of humour all the tour went quickly and very interesting - i’ve got a lot of new information and could understand more deeply the most famous paintings and sculptures . Sistine Chapel is the masterpiece by all means and for me it was very special that before visiting it Stefano explained us every detail of the works inside. Very big thanks to him and company for organising such an interesting tour.

FANTASTIC TOUR WITH FELIX

We took this tour and loved it! Meeting place was easy to find. The tour started on time and skip the line is a must! We cleared security and got out head sets and were off on our adventure. Felix was incredibly knowledgeable and able to answer any question. The museums are amazing. The Sistine chapel is breathtaking. Saint Peters Bascilica is equally breathtaking! We had ample time for pictures and questions throughout. The tour ends in Saint Peters Square. This tour was well organized and worth the time and money. Loved it!

Outstanding Tour of Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel

Eddy was our tour guide. Eddy was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, interested, and caring. He gave us extra information to emphasize the points he wanted to share with us. He gave us time to think, to revel in the magnificent artwork of the Vatican. He was friendly and caring about our time with him. He engaged us to ask questions, to understand the points he was making. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Eddy. He was the best!! Thank you, Eddy.

Amazing tour! Highlight of our trip! Look no further than Eco Art Travel!

Could not recommend Eco Art Travel more! Made the mistake of going with a much larger tour group the first time we visited Rome, the Vatican and the Basilica. Our tour guide Chiara so charming, full of knowledge and information! She truly made our visit to the Vatican one we will never forget! We even booked skip the line tickets for the Coliseum and forum. I was very surprised when we could use the Colosseum tickets for one day and visit the forum the following day... if you have the extra time in the Rome I would highly recommend this. From the time we booked our tickets online, we had such a personal service from Guillaume. He answered all our questions before we arrived in Rome and made it very easy for us to navigate the tickets and locations.
