I highly recommend booking this tour The other members of our small tour group did not arrive hence our tour became a private guided tour Admission to the vatican was fast thru our skiptheline access Our guide Assunta explained very well the stories behind the artarchictecture It was really fun despite the summer heat I was travelling with my senior parents and our guide accommodated my parents needs very well

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.


Ending Point

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, including but not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

When available, Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are allowed in almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. Please note that bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment, such as tripods, large video equipments, and equipment backpacks, will not be permitted inside the Museums.

  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Wonderful family tour

We had a fabulous tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel with Martina. There were 9 in our group, ranging in age from 9 to 73, which would be challenging for some tours. But Martina handled it spectacularly. Every person in the tour learned something and was interested the entire time. The Vatican and Sistine Chapel are such special places, we are very blessed to have been provided the tour and experience with Martina.

Brilliant tour and guide

Lindy our guide was great, she was so knowledgeable and friendly it made the tour so much better than just walking round looking at art and history without the stories behind them, so thank you to EcoArt and Lindy for a great experience

Highly recommend!

What a great tour! Thank you so much for all the information! Seeing the Vatican museum without a tour guide would not have been the same. They are a wealth of knowledge & answered all questions we had. Our tour ended up being 3 couples (6 people including us) so a super small tour.

Unforgettable knowledge

We loved this tour and had a great guide, Lindy, who was able to explain every room in great detail to us. I usually have a hard time remembering details but Lindy has a subtle way of story telling that makes the information memorable. We found ourselves recalling information we learned on this tour in other parts of our Italy trip and we still reference it today! Even though the place was pretty packed, it was nice to have a smaller group in order to be nimble and ask questions when desired. Highly recommend this tour and Lindy!
