In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

This tour was definitely the highlight of our trip Our guide was lovely and so knowledgeable We were able to go into the Vatican Museums had a chance to go into each room and take photos while the guide explained some of the history We had access to the Sistine Chapel which would highly recommend doing After the tour we were given the opportunity to visit St Peters Basilica on our own dont know if this is provided every time but if offered I would 100 do it Our guide was kind enough to give us some information about St Peters and we were given access to it through the Sistine chapel which avoided the long lines outside Leave enough time to be able to find the meeting place so you dont miss the tour Would highly recommend this tour

Valentino was great

I really enjoyed our tour guide Valentino Expert guide I also really appreciated his colleague who helped to get us in line and help with our wheelchair So the actual people on the ground are excellent But the tour company in general does nothing to follow up with you or answer questions We arrived to St Peters Basilica the meeting point was incorrect according to the pin that the company provided and then no one answered my calls and texts to the company phone number provided So the people are great but the corporate tour company is disorganized Its too frustrating to deal with when you are touring with older people Maybe recommended for younger people who can handle the corporate side
