Many many marble steps to the Sistine Chapel but go for it The 800 am tour is not too crowded and our guide Elana was awesome She told us what to expect each part of the tour pointed out bathrooms on the tour She was always easy to find because she gave clear concise instructions Her knowledge of the Vatican areas university level I highly recommend her tour Elana from Milan

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Vatican Museums 

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, including but not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.



Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are allowed in almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. Please note that bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment, such as tripods, large video equipments, and equipment backpacks, will not be permitted inside the Museums.


Daily except Sunday

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

A great tour

It was an excellent tourour guide Loreley was very knowledgable and was able to answer all the questions from the group Our group was smalljust as advertisedand being able to skip the queue saved us a lot of time

Vatican city tour

It was easy to find our tour guide even thought when you get there its so busy but lots of people around to guide you your meeting point The guide was very informative but you do need to keep an eye on your guide as it is so busy inside The tour itself is amazing and there is a lot of looking up at ceilings which are stunning St Peters Basilica will take your breath away inside and you dont have your guide in here so you can take your time The sistine chapel is very busy and you are packed in very close to others as you move through but you can take your time in here to admire the work of art Lastly wear comfy shoes and take a refillable bottle as there are lots of fountains to refill

Small Group Vatican Tour

I have visited the Vatican before but not on a guided tour I got so much more out of the visit Our tour guide Alberto was excellent and gave us a real insight into the background of what we saw before us It was so much better than just listening to an audio guide It was very busy in the Vatican and the queues to get in were unbelievably long so worth doing this tour to skip those lines The tour is around 3 hrs there are a lot of steps to go up and down in various areas so if mobility is an issue be mindful of this Alberto did a great job of keeping the group together throughout the tour I think we were a group of around 16 We didnt get access to St Peters as they had a ceremony on in the morning We could have hung around after the tour to go in after 1pm but I chose not to Be mindful of the dress code and take water in with you
