In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Amazing tour

My family and visited the Vatican for the first time It was unbelievable of course the sights and all Honestly though our guide Oscar was so knowledgeable we came out knowing so much about the history We loved it

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Our Vatican tour was a highlight of our time in Rome thanks to our wonderful guide Martina She was warm engaging and incredibly knowledgeable bringing the history of the Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica to life in a thoughtful and intentional way The small group size just 5 people made the experience feel personal and relaxed and the pace was perfectnever rushed or overwhelming despite the crowds of Easter Week Martinas passion and approachable style made the tour both educational and enjoyable Highly recommend this tour especially with Martinashe truly made the experience unforgettable

Well worth the cost of admission

Our guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel with Jeannette was great This was during Holy Week when crowds at the Vatican are huge However our meeting time and place were explicit and the small group of 8 made it easier to maneuver through the crowds Jeannette is an American expat in Rome with an art history degree and was extremely knowledgable about everything we saw Guides are limited to 25 hours in the museum so she cut us loose just before entering the Sistine Chapel where would could spend as much time as we wished as well as returning to the museum to to view what couldnt be viewed in that amount of time We did hit all the highlights however The museum was quite crowded on the day we went and the price of the tour considering it allowed us to skip the lines as well as the considerable information imported by Jeannette made the ticket price well worth it I would definitely recommend this tour and ask for Jeannette
