In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

We had an amazing tour walking through the Vatican Museums and seeing the Sistine Chapel After seeing the Sistine Chapel we were able to get skip the line access into St Peters after the tour Trust me you definitely wont want to wait in the security line in order to get into St Peters without the skip the line access Our tour guide was Maria Laura and she was phenomenal She was the most knowledgeable tour guide Ive ever had She took the time to explain so many facts that werent common knowledge she had expert interpretations on the artwork and she was an entertaining and genuine person If you have an option to choose a guide choose her

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. No redemption of tickets needed

It was really nice to skip the line There were a lot of people standing in a line Im guessing who didnt have a skip the line pass The guide unfortunately I cant remember his name was nice very informative My only complaint with this experience is that the instructions stated that our tickets needed to be redeemed before the tour began an outside location I wasnt able to find it so that was a little stressful It turned out that nothing needed to be redeemed The guide company just verified our names Suggestion having this important piece of information included in the instructions would be incredibly helpful

Wonderful Tour of the Vatican

Our Guide was excellent and had so much knowledge about eveything It was a really interesting tour and we enjoyed every moment of it So much history that we only knew about in films so it was great to see everything for ourselves
